In fact, the coffee beans used in Luwak coffee are the same as other types of coffee. Kopi Luwak usually uses Robusta or Arabica coffee beans. However, what differentiates the coffee beans from Luwak coffee is the choice of beans. Other types of coffee beans are selected and sorted by humans and even machines. And, even though the human is very skilled and experienced, or the machine used is very sophisticated, it still cannot defeat the animal instincts of the Luwak animal. The very sharp instincts possessed by the Luwak are able to make this animal choose coffee beans that are truly ripe and of the best quality. So, from here, we can say that Luwak coffee comes from very high quality coffee beans.
